The rules of the real exam

The mock exam exactly mirrors the format of the general theory test.

40questions
35correct answers to pass
FRThe official exam is in French

A maximum of five errors. It is this very narrow margin that makes practicing under real exam conditions essential.

Why take a mock exam?

Practicing topic by topic isn’t enough. The exam mixes everything together without warning.

The topics are mixed

A first-aid question might follow a question on priorities. It’s this shift from one topic to another that causes you to lose points.

You can’t afford to make any mistakes

Five mistakes and you’re out. The mock exam shows you whether your margin is comfortable or precarious.

Everything is in French

Even if you study in your own language, on test day the questions are in French. The same goes here.

What you get at the end

A mock exam is useless if it doesn’t tell you what to correct.

  • Your score out of 40 and whether you would have passed
  • A breakdown of each answer, whether correct or incorrect
  • Every question you got wrong, with an explanation of the correct answer
  • The option to take it again right away with a new set of 40 questions

Study in your own language, take the exam in French

Explanations are available in five languages. The mock exam questions, however, remain in French.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times can I take a mock exam?

As many times as you like. Each mock exam randomly selects 40 questions from a bank of over 100 questions covering the ten topics; the selection and order change with each session.

Are the questions the same as those on the official exam?

They come from the same bank of over 4,000 questions in the official format, but the actual exam draws its own questions on test day.

What score should I aim for before registering for the exam?

Aim for several successful mock exams in a row, not just one. Consistently scoring above 35/40 is a good sign.
